Our Patent Pending Artisan Quality Decking panels are available in two basic styles.

The “Artisan Series” decking panels feature a ¾” border for attaching the panels to the deck structure. A separate trim piece is added after the panels are installed to hide the screws attaching the panels to the deck joists. This results in no visible fasteners! The “Artisan Series” decking panels may be used on any height deck and were specifically designed to address attachment issues associated with ground level decks.

The “Signature Series” decking panels do not have a border. The decking extends to the edge of the panel frame. These panels are attached to the joists from beneath the joists. Our recommendations are that these be used for decks that are at least 4 feet or higher off the ground.

Our “Theme Series” of panels includes a custom theme design engraved into the decking of an individual panel. An example of a “Theme Series” decking panel has a Dolphin jumping out of water engraved into the decking. This would be suitable for a deck that overlooks a pool or ocean front view. Any custom theme design may be engraved into these panels. We use a computer controlled automated router to engrave these panels. If you have a particular theme in mind for your Artisan Quality deck, send us an E-Mail with a picture of what you would like a quotation on. Costs vary from $300.00 to $500.00 depending on the size of the theme in square-feet.

The Materials choices available for "Artisan" & "Signature" Series Decking:

Pressure Treated Cypress - More durable than pressure treated Pine and much straighter.

Siberian Larch (Yes,  it's from Russia!) This is a beautiful light wood that is twice the density of Pine and is fully dry and ready to stain or seal. More than that though it lasts forever! It was originally used in constructing mine support posts and to build ships - both very harsh environments! The ancient Europeans referred to Siberian Larch as the "tree of eternity"!

Cumaru (Brazilian Teak) This wood has a beautiful rich color and is the material that was used on the custom deck displayed on our home page and in our custom decks page. Cumaru is an "Iron Wood" and has a density of 3,000 PSI!! That is harder than some varietes of concrete! Needless to say, this is a "Forever Wood" as well.

IPE (pronounced "E-PAY") this wood like Cumaru is an "Iron Wood" and it features a dark rich furniture look. "IPE is our top quality wood and thus is the most expensive of the four.
